چکیده
Abstract A case study on a rectangular post-tensioned concrete beam end block with 3-dimensional analysis is presented in this paper. ANSYS software used to model the end-block of specimen i.e., beam. An actual anchorage plate, widely construction modeled two different approaches, and concentrated jacking force applied same area. performed which modeling approaches are plate. For both plates, results obtained findings compared terms stresses, its location bursting force. Different equations from various design manuals compare calculated tensile

Experimental Study and Modeling of Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened by Post-Tensioned External Reinforcing Bars
The utilization of unbounded external reinforcing bars is one of the strengthening methods used after loading stage and before failure. The method has been used in different forms to strengthen members of reinforced concrete structures. To investigate the effect of utilization of post-tensioned reinforcing bars in this method of strengthening, a number of reinforced concrete beams was tested. S...

Results and Conclusion: The analysis results show that the cracking deflection of the prestressed, concrete beams increases with the increase in the porosity of the grouting material of the beams under different load forms. By contrast, under the same porosity grouting material, the cracking deflection of the symmetrical loads is larger than that of the uniform and concentrated loads. As the po...
متن کاملFlexural Strengthening of Deficient Reinforced Concrete Beams with Post-Tensioned Carbon Composites using Finite Element Modelling
The application of external post-tensioned steel bars as an effective way to strengthen an existing bridge has been so far used in many different countries. In recent decades, however, they have been replaced by bars made from Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP), as a material with high tensile strength and corrosion resistance, to address several concerns with steel bars such as their appli...
متن کاملNonlinear Models of Reinforced and Post-tensioned Concrete Beams
Commercial finite element software generally includes dedicated numerical models for the nonlinear response of concrete under loading. These models usually include a smeared crack analogy to account for the relatively poor tensile strength of concrete, a plasticity algorithm to facilitate concrete crushing in compression regions and a method of specifying the amount, the distribution and the or...
